This score is an arrangement of the Arioso in D minor by Alessandro Scarlatti for easy violin and piano.

It features a slow lyrical melody over a faster-moving eighth-note accompaniment.

The violin part is to be played in the first, second and third positions.

Please note that the violin part contains suggested realizations for the trills.

In accordance with Baroque performance practice, the violinist should remember that the trills are to be played ON the beat, starting on the upper auxiliary note.
