This playful Harlequin by Goby Eberhardt can be played entirely in the first position, except for the very last measure which is played in the third position.
The whole work features left hand pizzicato.
The violinist play the arco notes in spiccato and keep the bow close to the string as the left hand performs the pizzicato with the finger that played the previous note.
Furthermore, pay attention to the ritardando at the beginning of each phrase!
