Partita in G Major - Gigue a l'angloise - Suite

This Gigue à l'angloise [Gigue in the English style] was composed by Georg Philipp Telemann.

It is the sixth and last movement in Telemann' Partia à Cembalo solo, TWV 32:1 for harpsichord solo.

This Partia (or Partita or Suite) is a work from the German Baroque period.

It was first published in Hamburg in 1728-1729 in Der getreue Music-Meister.

This Gigue à l'Angloise has a simple A-A-B-B musical form.

It ought to be played in a lively tempo.
