Zipoli, Domenico

Domenico Zipoli (October 17, 1688, Prato, Italy - January 2, 1726, Cordoba, Argentina) was an Italian composer of the Baroque period.
As a Jesuit, he was sent as a musician missionnary to the Reductions of Paraguay.
There, his musical expertise contributed much to develop the natural musical talents of the Guaranis.
He is remembered as the most accomplished musician among Jesuit missionaries.
