This Study Op. 45, No. 4 by Franz Wohlfahrt was originally composed for the violin in the key of G Major.

This score is a transcription for the viola.

This study is entirely written with the rhythmic pattern one eighth note, two sixteenth notes.

It can be played entirely in the first position.

It can be practiced either with small bows or with whole bow division.

However, the violist should keep in mind that the eighth notes are to take twice as much bow as the sixteenth notes.
