These Studies Opus 45 by Wohlfahrt are often among the first ones studied by young violinists and violists.

This fourth study by Wohlfahrt is excellent for practicing bow division.
Program Notes : This study is entirely written with the rhythmic pattern one eighth note, two sixteenth notes.

It can be played entirely in the first position.

It can be practiced either with small bows or with whole bow division.

However, the violinist should keep in mind that the eighth notes are to take twice as much bow as the sixteenth notes.
