Program Notes on Study in C Major, Op. 45, No. 42 by Wohlfahrt :

This Study Op. 45, No. 42 by Franz Wohlfahrt is a study of expressive bowing and ornamentation, focussing on the turn.

It is to be played in the first and third positions.

In this study, we suggest playing the grace notes as a turn.

The preceding quarter note should be played as an eighth note.

Then, the three grace notes should be played as a sixteenth note triplet on the second half of the first beat.
