This Study Op. 45, No. 38 by Franz Wohlfahrt is a study of détaché and rapid mixed bowings in the middle of the bow.

It is to be played in the first and third positions.

This study includes the following bowing patterns :

Détaché
One detached, three slurred : as in measure 2

In measure 1, the shift from the first to the third position is difficult for many students and ought to be practiced very slowly at first.
