Petzold, Christian

Christian Petzold (1677-1733) was a German organist and composer from the Baroque period.

Recent research has shown that Petzold composed two of the pieces from the 1725 Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach : the famous Menuet in G major, BWV Anhang 114 and its partner minuet, Menuet in G minor, BWV Anhang 115. These two minuets had traditionnally been attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach.
