Neusidler, Hans

Hans Neusidler was a composer, lutenist, intabulator and lute maker of the Renaissance period.
He was one of the main figures in the early history of lute music in Germany.
His lute books contain a rich a varied repertoire : arrangements of German songs, chansons, Italian madrigals, motets, German and Italian dances and free, improvisatory preludes.
The pieces span all difficulty levels, going from pieces for beginners to virtuoso passagework.
