This score is an arrangement of Das Deutschlandlied for easy violin with piano accompaniment.

This arrangement is taken from the Fantaisie Op. 86, No. 5 pour violon et piano [Fantasia for Violin and Piano] by Charles Dancla.

Dancla's Fantaisie is entitled Austrian Hymn and Don Juan, as it develops two themes : Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser by Franz Joseph Haydn and Batti, batti, o bel Masetto from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Don Giovanni.

The violin part in this score is to be played in the first three positions.
