Fuchs, Robert

Robert Fuchs (15 February 1847 – 19 February 1927) was an Austrian composer, music teacher, organist and conductor of the Romantic period.
As Professor of music theory at the Vienna Conservatory, Fuchs taught many notable composers.
Among his students were Georges Enesco, Gustav Mahler, Jean Sibelius and Richard Strauss.
Robert Fuchs was himself a highly regarded composer in his lifetime.
