Froberger, Johann Jakob
1616-1667
German composer, organist and keyboard virtuoso of the Baroque period.
He contributed highly to the development of the keyboard suite.
Froberger is particularly remembered for his descriptive harpsichord pieces which are among the first known examples of program music (music which evokes images and moods by musically representing them).
