General remarks on finger action :

The violinist's feet should be in a v-shape, under the shoulders so that you can rock side to side for proper balance. The button should rest againt the neck, while the left elbow is over the left foot.

At all times, keep all four fingers over the string. Fingers 2 and 3 are flat on the top, and serve as a balance point for the hand between fingers 1 and 4.

As you lift the fingers from the string, keep their curbature intact, i.e. do not unfold them.
