Diabelli, Anton
1781-1858
Austrian music publisher, editor, composer, pianist and guitarist of the Classical period.
As a publisher, he was known for his numerous arrangements of popular pieces for amateurs to play in their homes. He was also the first to publish the works of Franz Schubert.
As a composer, he wrote mainly for the piano and classical guitar.
