This short piece La Bourbonnoise by François Couperin is a work from the French Baroque period.
It has the following A-A-B-B musical form :
- Measures 1-8 : Phrase A beginning in the main key of G Major and modulating to the dominant key of D Major in measure 7
- Measures 9-16 : Phrase B entirely in the main key of G Major
Please take note that unlike other composers of the Baroque period, François Couperin insisted that no ornamentation of any kind be added to his music other than the ornaments he himself indicated.
