Thomas Augustine Arne (12 March 1710 – 5 March 1778) was a British composer, violinist and keyboard player of the late Baroque period and early Classical period.

Arne is best known for the patriotic song Rule, Britannia!.

He also wrote a version of God Save the King, which was to become the British national anthem.

Arne also composed the song A-Hunting We Will Go.

Thomas Augustine Arne was the leading British theatre music composer of the eighteenth century.

He worked at Drury Lane and Covent Garden.
